Child theme won't work

  • heidiv2

    @heidiv2

    I tried creating a child theme for my atmosphere 2010 site. I am so new at this and did not know I had to create a child theme to prevent mine from being rewritten after an update. When I created the child theme, the only thing I got after activation was a white background- not text, header, background, nada. I did a theme check and the only errors were related to a text domain problem in most everything on both the child and the parent sites. My site is http://heidivanlandingham.com

    Any help would be much appreciated. I even tried copying the parent style.css into the child’s and took out the url reference (also left it in to see what it would do and still nothing.

    May you paste the contents of your Child Theme stylesheet? If it’s too large, use Pastebin.com.

    Here’s what I have in my child theme [fyi- I’ve copied & pasted the entire parent style.css but it didn’t change the white screen]

    /*
    Theme Name: Atmosphere-2010 Child
    Description: This is a WordPress Atmosphere 2010 child theme for the Heidi Vanlandingham website
    Author: Heidi
    Template: atmosphere-2010

    @import url(“../atmosphere-2010/style.css”);
