Support » Plugin: Membership by Supsystic » Child theme override doesn’t works for some files

    Hi all,
I’m new on twig but I’m trying to get rid of a customization issue.
A website that I’m developing now handles users with the ultimate member plugin; by the way, I love the Groups management provided by this plugin.
I’m trying to override some files placing their copy in my child theme directory as indicated in your guidelines – provided on supsystic.com/documentation/overriding-templates.
I basically need to change functions that provide a user’s URL and image (profileUrl and userAvatar on plugins/membership-by-supsystic/src/Membership/Users/Twig.php ) or invoke ultimate member’s methods directly.
I have replaced the template already, but I need to invoke functions that are unreachable from it.

    Thank you in advance,
    Fabio

    Hello, @fabioros90
Thank you for contacting us regarding your question!

Have you successfully rewrote twig templates in your custom theme?
If it means successfully, you should have checked it – for example by a small change.
If when changing your redefined template, these changes were reflected on the front, then the installation was successful and you should have no problems accessing the method of the module itself.
It is possible that you are trying to change the module method itself. It will not work.

Nothing prevents you from modifying the method yourself from the plugin folder.
This will work before plugin updates.
