[Resolved] Child theme not adjusting sidebar correctly

  • I updated my WordPress version to Twenty Eleven 3.4.2 and some modifications disappeared. I now realize it is because I didn’t create a child theme, so I’m working on one.

The first mod is for the sidebar on this site: http://reddoorreview.com/ I used this suggestion from blaok and it worked perfectly for a 300×220 Google Ad in the sidebar. However, it isn’t working in my child theme.

I feel like I’m banging my head against a brick wall.

    Any suggestions?

You don’t have a child theme active on your site – once you create it, you need to switch to it (like changing to any other theme).

Duh. Thank you, I forgot about that important step.

So when I activate the child theme, I lose all of the mods to my header image and title bar. What parts of the code do I copy and paste into the child theme to keep my customizations?

Never mind, I figured it out. Thanks again for your help.
