Child Theme Navigation Labels don't work

    Navigation Labels for the menus work in the regular theme, but not in a Child Theme (they revert to the former menu titles).

    Fresh install. No plugins.

    Any ideas?

    What do you mean they don’t work? If you are switching to a child theme, you have to set the menu up again – those settings don’t transfer to any new theme, child or not.

    Thanks for the quick response.

    User error. I had inadvertently turned off “header menu” under “Theme Locations” while trying out the different menus. Everything looked similar, but it had reverted back to the menu with out my custom Navigation Labels (and was out of order too, which is how I finally noticed). When I switched back to the Responsive parent theme, it worked because I had set them up previously. I am an idiot 🙂
