Support » Theme: Arcade Basic » Child theme missing some formatting & features

  • Hi, I’m trying to create a child theme for the basic arcade theme in order to change the font of the site title. The child theme seems to be retaining some of the features of the parent, but it’s missing key elements. The site title & icon aren’t showing, and the headline section isn’t formatted differently from the rest of the page. It shows the background image behind it and isn’t centered.

    Here’s my child theme. What might I be doing wrong?

    Theme Name: Arcade Basic Child
    Template: arcade-basic
    @import url("../arcade-basic/style.css");

    @dmbgleas, Unless you demonstrate the issue we’re just stabbing in the dark.

    I was having the same issue… I copied and pasted your code @zachooz, and it worked! I hate not being able to see what’s wrong with the “quite apparently wrong” code, that looks the same as the code that works!! Regardless, thank you @zachooz for your code. And thanks @dmbgleas for asking! I’m too shy so I would not have asked 🙂
