Child theme Magnitude says needs parent theme twenty ten installed not working (2 posts)

    I currently have installed Magnitude but at the top of themes it says it this child theme requires its parent theme twenty ten.

    I have followed the instructions from here http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes:

    I have created a new directory under themes called childtheme
    My style.css file shows:
    Theme Name: Twentytwelve Child
    Description: Child theme for the twentytwelve theme
    Author: Crazy
    Template: twentytwelve

    @import url("../twentytwelve/style.css");

    h1.site-title a {
    color: #009900;

    My functions.php shows:

    [entire file deleted - please see http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Posting_Code

    However in the themes in wordpress it shows my childtheme but it is called there twentytwelve child? and it is completely blank.

    Can you help me out please. The main thing i need to achieve is the fact that the menu in magnitude or twenty ten doesn't save and menu names keep dropping off and won't re-add - if there is a better way to fix just this that would be great.

    Where is that theme from? It sounds like it IS already a child theme for twentyten - which means you need to have twentyten installed (not active) in your themes folder. This line "at the top of themes it says it this child theme requires its parent theme twenty ten" is only a reminder that you need the parent theme.

    A link to your site would enable someone to look at whether it's working right or not.
