# Child theme functions.php file disappeared

 * Hi,
 * I wanted to edit my functions.php file. I edited it and now it sows up that gibberish
   on home page and when I go back into theme editor, the functions.php file does
   not even show up there anymore.

 * Are you looking for the core file or Child Theme file?
 * You’ll probably know that we encourage you to use a [Child Theme](http://www.themesandco.com/snippet/creating-child-theme-customizr/)
   for changes.
 * You need to restore the original file back in to /wp-content/themes/customizr/,
   and use a [CT version](http://www.themesandco.com/extension/customizr-child-theme/)
   in /wp-content/themes/customizr-child/
 * If you come back, remember to include a link to your site.

 * Thanks rdell, its all sorted. I just deleted my child theme permanently and downloaded
   one from Customizr.
