Child Theme Functions.php edit breaks site

    Hi, thanks for your theme and help & support here.
    I have created a child theme ward-child and added the proper style.css and functions.php files specifically so I could make an edit to the functions file. Replacing the <i class="middle-circle icon-off"></i>
    with this: <div class="target-seo">TARGETED SEO</div><img class="middle-circle icon-off" src="/images/targeted-seo.png"> – but this immediately broke the site giving this error: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare bavotasan_styles() (previously declared in /home/seopro/public_html/dev/wp-content/themes/ward-child/functions.php:84) in /home/seopro/public_html/dev/wp-content/themes/ward/functions.php on line 90

    Any help to fix this reference? Please and thank you.

    Ok, in hindsight I explained that wrong. My edit does not break the site but rather just having a child theme that includes a functions.php file does :/
