I recently purchased Avada but they do not offer support for customizations. I would like to make a custom header because of the unique needs of my client. I cannot simply modify the css and PHP is not my strongest language. Avada offers 5 header options defined within Avada >> Framework >> Headers >> header-v2.php, header-v3.php, etc. So it is not as simple as using a header.php file in my Child theme. My preference is to keep modified files in the Child but I don’t know how to do this.
Any ideas what file I should look for that calls the header template? I checked in header.php and it uses get_template_part. Since my new header is not part of the template files, how do I call it from my child? Should I eliminate the header version options entirely and put it all into a header.php file in my Child?
If you can point me to any online resources, that would be helpful. I’ve read a bunch but haven’t found specific direction for this purpose.
