Child Theme Creation Enables on MS Network

This is an incredible plugin and I’ve found it very easy to customize to my needs.

I’ve noticed that anytime I activate a network enabled parent theme and create a child-theme, the child-theme is network enabled.

What would cause this? Is it making it network enabled due to the parent theme being the same?
