    When I created a child theme it removes the social icons at the top and the menu in the footer. Below is the top portion of the style sheet in my child theme.

    /*
    Theme Name: Attorney child
    Theme URI: http://wpattorney.org/
    Template: attorney
    Author: WPThemes NZ
    Author URI: http://wpthemes.co.nz/
    Description: Child theme for attorney
    Version: 1.0.7
    License: GNU General Public License v2.0
    License URI: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html
    Tags: custom-menu, sticky-post, microformats, rtl-language-support, translation-ready, full-width-template, post-formats

    */
    @import url("../attorney/style.css");
    /* = Theme customization starts here
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------- */

    I’m an idiot… I just had to go back in and tick the box to display the menu in the footer and retype in the social icon urls…
