 * Hi,
 * i was wondering how i should handle the child theme. i have already made so many
   changes to the parent theme before i knew about a child theme so don’t want to
   start over. would it be ok if i just copied the css i’ve changed and upload it
   as a child theme? also should i deactivate and delete the theme then install
   it again just so i have a fresh copy of the parent?
    Thanks

 * I’d suggest that you abandon the idea of a child theme and turn your customised
   parent theme into a new, standalone/stand theme with it’s own name & folder.
   Then upload a fresh copy of the original theme.

 * i guess that can be done…. but can’t i do what i suggested because don’t i need
   to have the parent theme for any updates?

 * Oh – yes you do need it! Twenty Eleven is the default WordPress theme and having
   access to an **unedited** version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range
   of site issues.

 * thank you. i have the parent css file i changed on my computer, so can i just
   rename it and upload it, then i can deactivate the twenty eleven delete and then
   install again so it is the original… is this ok? i made so many changes before
   i knew i needed a child theme.
