Child Theme?

    I created a child theme and activated it successfully.

    However, the admin and theme options no longer display correctly. The background also disappeared. Is there a work-around?

    I do not wish to edit the functions.php. Therefore, I uploaded a blank/empty functions.php to the child term to continue to utilize the parent theme functions.php.

    Any suggestions for the child theme?

    I have also been having with a child theme. Everything looked just like the regular theme, except the styling for the dropdown menu disappeared. Instead of it only showing when the user hovers over the menu item for the parent page, the dropdown menu is always displayed. Also, the menu item for the parent page of the dropdown menu disappears when it has a dropdown menu, but if you take out the drop down menu and only have the top level pages in the menu, all items show up fine.

    Is there something wrong with squirrel theme that prevents it from being compatible with a child theme?

    My trouble with the child theme is the changes I make in theme options don’t take effect.

    I also want to know the solution…am also facing the same problem…can you please tell me what is the issue…and how to solve…?

    I am not able to create a new thread so am posting here …as the problem is same ….but the solution is not provided ….
