Child pages of “Hide in Nav Menu” Parent page is still visible

    According to the plugin details:

    If a page with child pages is hidden from the menu, all of it’s child pages will also be hidden.

    Yet when I toggle the “Hide in Nav Menu” checkbox in the Quick Edit menu for a parent page, its child pages still show up in my menu.

    I’m doing this with sample content from the Theme Unit Test from WordPress on a fresh installation of WP using the Twenty-Twenty-One theme. No other plugins are installed/active. I’ve tried adjusting different sync settings, but nothing seems to work.
