Support » Fixing WordPress » Chevrons on all menu items

  • Hi all,
    I am using elementor on wordpress, and I have a chevron issue in the menu using the nav widget from elementor. There are chevrons on the left hand side of all drop down menus, even though they are not parents. Ideally I would like to remove all chevrons from all menu items, but whatever I do, nothing seems to be working.

    There is an option to add an indicator in the theme nav menu widget, however, these are all turned to ´none´. Any info would be really appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Your best bet would be to post in the respective forums for Astra and Elementor, and follow the official advice from the developers of these products.

    Astra Forum: https://wordpress.org/support/theme/astra/

    Elementor Forum: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/elementor/

    But if you want a quick-and-not-so-dirty fix, add the following CSS code to the ADDITIONAL CSS box at APPEARANCE => CUSTOMIZE.

    To hide the chevrons completely, even for the main menu items, use:

    span.ast-icon.icon-arrow {
    display: none;
    }

    If you only want to hide them ONLY for the drop-down submenus, use:

    ul li ul li span.ast-icon.icon-arrow {
    display: none;
    }

    Good luck!
