Checkout not working with certain Iphones

We have a number of customers complaining that they are unable to check out – the common denominator seems to be that they are using Iphones – 11 or X:

Tapping the Paypal Checkout button does nothing – no Paypal window pops up at all.

Other users are OK – Android, desktop etc

Hey there!

I think that this issue might be related: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout/issues/773

I reported that one, it has to do with outdated browsers. Do you by chance know the iOS/mobile Safari versions that those customers having issues on were using?

@slash1andy unfortunately I don;t use iOS myself – the only information I was able to get was:

I-Phone X software version 13.5.1 went through OK. I-phone 11 software version 13.5.1 doesn’t

Hi @seank123 – please follow along with this pull request: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout/pull/778

Once this has been ‘merged’, it should be included in the next version. If you’re still having the same issue after updating to the next version that includes that fix, please let us know!
