****You will need to have an item in the cart to be able to see this issue.****

On the checkout page of my site (nicholasromanakis.com/checkout)I am using a woocommerce cart.

Underneath the “Billing Details” area, there is a floating checkbox that is missing a label. When I use the inspector I can see that the checkbox is an h3 with an ID of “ship-to-different-address”. It contains a label which contains an input and a span.

The span is empty which is why there is nothing appearing next to the checkbox.

I tried disabling plugins, I tried using alternative themes. Nothing resolved the issue.

I looked at the “form-shipping.php file” which is the file that contains the code for this area and there is indeed php inside the span tag telling it to display.

    It shows: <span><?php esc_html_e( ‘Ship to a different address?’, ‘woocommerce’ ); ?></span>

I can’t understand why nothing is displaying here.

I tried going into woocommerce settings under the shipping options and toggling the shipping destination options which made the checkbox entirely disappear. It only came back after deactivating and reactivating the woocommerce plugin.

I have not done any custom coding aside from some styling to this website and I even removed that to check and see if something was interfering which it of course wasn’t.

I don’t know what else to do. I’m not a hardcore developer.

I can’t use the store if no one can enter their alternative shipping information though.

Any help is appreciated. I’m at a loss. i would upload images but i don’t see a place for it here and I am new to this site… Sorry.

just wanted to add, incase anyone is looking into this, I have removed the elementor checkout and put back the standard woo commerce shortcode and the checkbox is labelled and functioning perfectly.

So i am assuming the problem lies within elementor although they refuse to acknowledge it.

    Hi there,

I have removed the elementor checkout and put back the standard woo commerce shortcode and the checkbox is labelled and functioning perfectly.

Glad to hear you found a workaround.

Based on the first response it looks there was a conflict on the site.

You can find a more detailed explanation of how to do a conflict test below:

Let us know if there are any questions.
