Is there any way to setup the signup for the newsletter marked by default in the woocommerce checkout page?

This has been asked/answered in this other thread as well:

There’s no built-in setting to have it checked by default, and MailPoet doesn’t allow that. If you are certain that it’s legal to have it checked by default in your location and for all of your site visitors, then you could change it via custom code, however we would be unable to assist with that.
