Checkboxes – need to be notified when checked – HELP

I have read through documentation on this contact form 7.
How do I input codes or whatever so that I am notified when someone checks one of the checkboxes I’ve put in my form.
If you can help, I’d appreciate it. I am very new to this and cannot find any answers or instructions in the documentation.
I’ve read something about green boxes and putting codes in subject lines. All very confusing without simple instructions.
