Issue resolved by using different browser. Firefox was the culprit.
Firefox was the culprit.
Likely due to the browser loading cached JS files which have changed since the upgrade. A hard refresh, flushing browser’s cache, or browser cache TTL expiration would normally fix that.
I’ve not had any issues with any site in Firefox since the 6.9 upgrade.
Hi, I have same error. All cache it’s empty.

Interesting that someone else is having the same issue with Firefox. Caches are all cleared; even unchecked the enhanced browsing switch for my site, all to no avail. Will continue to use Chrome as my alternative but it would be good to have Firefox as backup.
The bug with the checkboxes affects older Firefox versions. I still have to use version 115.30.0 ESR because I’m still working on Windows 7 due to an old but perfectly functional PC. With this version no checkboxes are functional. That’s unfortunate. However, browser versions compatible with Windows 7, such as Opera 95.0.4635.90 and Chrome 109.0.5414.120, still work flawlessly with WordPress 6.9 and the checkboxes. Only Firefox has effectively stopped supporting this feature and therefore has become useless.

Thanks! That explains it then. Am presently operating Win 8.1 with an older version of Firefox. I have a small laptop, too, but hate using Win 11. Will continue using an earlier version of Chrome until I’m forced to use the laptop.
I’m having the same problem on Mac OS
