I’ve got one checkbox on my form labeled “Subscribe to our newsletter”. It appears on screen with a colon after the label (“Subscribe to our newsletter:”). However, the label displays to the right of the checkbox, so the colon doesn’t make sense.

Here’s a screenshot of the form with the extra colon: http://grab.by/DhWa
Here’s this form field on the back end: http://grab.by/DhWk

I’ve tried adding another test checkbox, and it also appears incorrectly with a colon following the label. How can I suppress a colon from appearing after a checkbox label?

I see that this doesn’t happen on the screenshots for the plugin, so I know it’s not the normal functionality….

    Thanks!

  • I just tried to add a checkbox and came to report the colon as well. Along the same lines, it would be nice if field punctuation could be entered as part of the field name, rather than defaulting to a colon, so that something like Subscribe could be in the form of a question.

This is a bug that crept in at some point — fixed in 2.6 (just released) along with a bunch of formatting tweaks I noticed while testing.

As for optional punctuation — I agree. I need to determine a backwards compatible way to remove that.

    Well, that was easy.

2.6.1 has a checkbox to turn off the auto colon-ization of field labels per form.

And a javascript error fix (bug introduced in 2.6).
