Hi, We are testing the module to use solely for the comment checkbox functionality, and we are wondering why the decision was made by the developers to redirect the user to a new error message page if the opt-in checkbox isn’t checked. This experience seems unintuitive and doesn’t really match web standards for form validation error messages. What is the reason for not displaying a required error message under the checkbox if the user doesn’t select it? Thanks!

    Hi @davel35,

This wasn’t our decision but it is the standard WordPress Comments behaviour to show any message in a separate screen. To not mess with functionality too much we left it as is although we agree this isn’t a good user experience. Hopefully Core decides to change this at some point!

    Ok. Thanks for the feedback.
