[Resolved] Check what's making it slow?

    http://www.blakehammerton.com/blog (that’s where things get S.L.O.W.)

What I’d like to know is whether or not there’s a way to see exactly what is causing the biggest load on the page. The header and content box loads immediately, but the sidebars are taking nearly two minutes to load for me.

Is it my facebook box? Twitter box? Is it something else?

Is there a site or something that will tell me what the culprit is, or do I have to turn everything off one by one until things speed up?

    Thanks!

    Blake

  • Here is speed report for your site that shows: Page size 2.7MB, Load time 29.91s, Requests 171, performance grade 73/100, slower than 94% of all tested websites.

Try to reduce the number of requests, optimize images and look for other problems in the report.

    Thanks for that tool!

I found the images loading from my facebook like box were taking FOREVER, and a twitter plugin was essentially busted.

Fixed those, and we’re back in business!

    Thanks again!

Glad to note that you could solve the problems.
