    Hi Guys,

    I have used subscribe2 for quite some time and now I would like to know where I can check which emails were sent out. Sometimes the server limits cut the send out job. I would like to know which emails made it in through the send job. That will help me determine if the problem is with the address, the subscribers machine or mail receiving settings or my side which could be server or a few other reasons.

    Thank you,

    Chris

    @chris,

    Subscribe2 does not perform any logging of emails. For that you would need to use a specific plugin like this one:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/email-log/

    Bear in mind though that this will record whether the email was generated and passed to the server. It is harder to identify if the server rejects the email or if it is successfully delivered without access to the server logs and the recipients inbox.

    I do have access to the server logs. But I am not sure how to check them.

    @chris,

    If you are using cPanel this documentation might help you:

    Hey thanks. I installed the Email Log by sudar and it does the job. However, when i use this in relation to Subscribe2 I only see the 1st e-mail which is the admin one I think. It doesn’t actually show all the subscribers that the email went to. Is there something within Subscribe2 that I need to change or can change?

    Thanks for the help,

    Chris

    @chris,

    Make sure you have the ‘number of recipient per email’ set to 1 in Subscribe2->Settings in the Email Settings tab.

    Hey Mattyrob,

    I have fixed the last issue and it is showing now each email that goes out. Thank you,

    My current problem is with the bulk update format button. It says its worked when the process finishes but when I go into random profiles of subscribers the change does not show and when i make a post it does not send the email.
    Have you had this comment before? Is there a fix for it?

    @chris,

    I’ve just tested the bulk update format functions on my test site. Admittedly it only has a small number of registered users but I managed to update the format in Registered users profiles and it worked fine.

    Are you ensuring you have not filtered on a category before using that function?

    Hello there,

    I am not sure what you mean by “filtered on a category”. Do you mean the filter users button above the bulk management area? In which case I have tried not doing that and I have tried filtering prior but choosing all registered users or registered users. Still it doesn’t work. As I mentioned the message telling me its worked comes out but the change is not taking place. I have about 320 users.

    @chris,

    I still cannot replicate your issue so I suspect it’s something particular to your server or site. Can individual users change format? What versions of WordPress and Subscribe2 are you using?

    Hello,

    No worries I just went in and changed everyone one by one. It was a process but no biggy. I am using both the newest versions. But I had the problem with it before as well.

    @chris,

    I’ll keep an eye on this and see if anything crops up in the future then.
