Check or uncheck the checkbox from a checkbox filed in the front end

Hi, I have WPMU, and I am allowing each site to create/edit pages from the front end. Of course the exclude checkbox does not display. However I would like to have a checkbox in the front end, and whatever that value is should be passed to the Exclude plugin. What would be the variable name the value should be passed to? And if you have an idea on how to achieve this I would be very grateful. I’m still researching how to code this.
