Support » Fixing WordPress » "Cheating Huh?" – Image upload – elegantthemes

  • I have just installed WordPress (latest) and installed the SimplePress themes from ElegantThemes.

    There is a slider/featured function on the frontpange, but I can not upload any images to my site.

    I read this

    “Open the media-upload.php with the code editor scroll down to line #125 and change the code

    if ( ! empty( $_REQUEST[‘post_id’] ) && ! current_user_can( ‘edit_post’ , $_REQUEST[‘post_id’] ) )

    if ( ! empty( $_REQUEST[‘post_id’] ) && current_user_can( ‘edit_post’ , $_REQUEST[‘post_id’] ) )”

    When I did this I was able to upload images to be the webpage logo, but I am still not able to upload images in my posts or as my thumbnails for my slider/featured function? – Even if I chose one of the default themes I still can not upload images.

    What can I do to solve this problem?

    Kind regards John

  • Should ask elegantthemes because it is a paid theme.

    But when this happened to me I just added the image in in Media Library then copied/pasted the URL to the picture to where I wanted. Not the ideal way, but it works.
