Chateau theme and Magnificient theme

    Hi,

    I am trying to use the Magnificent theme’s menu with the body of the Chateau theme.

    I copied over the css and the menu code in header.php but it is causing an error:
    http://www.jeanettekwok.com/briscoe

    I have finally narrowed it down to the 2 lines causing errors:
    <?php show_page_menu($menuClass,false,false); ?>
    <?php show_categories_menu($menuClass,false); ?>

    What do I insert or edit to get rid of these errors?

    Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks,

    Jeanette

    show_page_menu() & show_categories_menu() are not native WordPress core functions. Looks like they came from 1 of the 2 themes you are trying to combine but omitted to add to your theme’s function.php file.

    Ok now the menu is showing but the dropdown is not working. I tried to see if there were other files referenced that I did not copy, but I could not find any. Any other ideas?

    I’m sorry but what you are trying to do (merge bits of 2 themes together) is notoriously difficult and often a process of trial & error. Personally, I’d suggest that you switch to working on a local install of WordPress with debug turned on and error logging enabled whilst you work on this hybrid theme.

    Also I would like to load the link names I have assigned in menus. Right now it is loading the titles of the pages as link names even I though I have specified link names in my pages menu.
