In the short term, you may be able to regain control of your site by using your ftp client or the file manager in your hosts control panel to rename the “Charity” theme directory. Clear your browser cache, revisit your site at yoursite.com/wp-admin and log back in. That should let the default WordPress theme take over and put you back behind the wheel.
Huge Caveat: This assumes that the sample theme data you imported has not in some way damaged your database.
Long term solution; contact support on the site where you purchased the theme for a proper resolution.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I think I’m just going to reinstall and start from scratch.
What does one do when the developer of a theme and their supposed support staff refuse to respond to requests for support?

Yikes… I guess I would be hesitant to give them any repeat business or referrals, to say the least.
True, but withholding my next $35 doesn’t really seem like much of a consequence. This theme was sold through a marketplace that touted the accuracy of the documentation which has proved to be the problem all along. Couple that with less than attentive support staff and a designer that really doesn’t seem to care and you have what is starting to sound like a conspiracy to deceive consumers. I was hoping there’d be a more community-wide form of recourse for something like this.
We do not support premium themes as you paid for support when you bought the theme. It is not our place to keep shady theme vendors in business. Sorry…
That’s exactly what I’m saying. Is there a place to report shady theme vendors who are selling supposed support through marketplaces where people can easily be deceived by false positive reviews?
