    Hello,

Using a previous plugin, when we received a dispute/chargeback via Stripe the order in WooCommerce would be changed from “Complete” to “On Hold”. However, since changing to this plugin I have noticed the order status does not change.

Is the plugin meant to change the order status when a dispute is created? Or is this functionality not available? If it is not, I would suggest it is a handy addition.

Any help or pointers are greatly appreciated.

    TIA

    Hi @underdog89,

Thank you for reaching out. At this time, the functionality you described is not part of the plugin. I agree that could be a helpful addition.

I will share your feedback with the development team and get back to you on their response.

    Kind Regards,

    Many thanks for your reply.

That would be amazing. I’m sure it would be fairly straightforward to implement and would add greatly.

Looking forward to hearing back from you guys.

    Hi @underdog89,

The message from the developers is that this feature can be added in the next release. The only question now is if this behavior is enabled by default or if a new setting should be added to the plugin so a merchant can toggle whether they want the order to go on-hold when a dispute is created.

Thank you for this feature suggestion.

    That’s excellent news.

I personally think and other plugins enable it by default.

I think the “on hold” status is perfect for this situation.

    Hi @underdog89

Chiming in here, yes I agree enabling that by default makes sense. We are considering adding an additional settings tab where merchants can disable this and control the order status that is assigned when a dispute is filed.

There has been some interest in other features such as disabling the refund logic when an order is canceled. I think all of these specialized settings would make sense under a new tab.

Feel free to contact us via the help button in the plug-in settings if you would like to help test these new additions.

    Kind regards

That makes sense. Something else I was looking for yesterday, you might already have this covered. But do you capture the “stripe fee” and “stripe net” as metadata? It’s previously been available when our team export orders using “Advanced Order Export For WooCommerce”.

I’d be happy to do some testing, I’ll get in touch.
