+1 to this. I am awaiting a reply from our Stripe agent, apparently this plugin uses Stripe Elements and he didn’t clarify whether this would still offer Chargeback Protection or not.

I would double check with the Stripe team to clarify this, as we wouldn’t have insight into their policies such as this.
Hi there,
Thanks for your reply. I was loosing my hopes, I thought I was the only one questioning me the same. I have also contacted stripe, yes they are talking about Stripe Elements, but like you say @gabiosz we don’t know furthermore. I will try to dig a bit more, but if somebody else has some advice, please don’t hesitate 🙂
Thank you both!!
I just spoke to Stripe and Elements DOES NOT work with chargeback protection it must be the Stripe Checkout, so this is a bust.
There are a few newer plugins that claim to enable Stripe Checkout, so it might be time to ditch this one for the moment until the developers catch up with the technology. Chargeback protection is essential for us as we send relatively expensive products overseas.
Thanks for the update.
Me on the other hand, i had some more info too, so normally what they suggest is that we enable radar rules with 3d secure, so this would reduce the payment risks. But not eliminate them or back them up unfortunately.
I have replied them back to see what are the alternatives… I really don’t understand this logic, I think it’s just they have too many chargebacks demands and they want to get rid of the “little ones”.
I saw the plugin Stripe Payments, that apparently has a stripe checkout, but I’ll wait for their answer first, since I’d like to know if they do make their chargeback protection with this one… who knows?
3D secure helps if you only allow authorisation for payments that have completed 3D secure, however, a lot of foreign banks (most US banks) haven’t implemented 3D secure yet, so it’s quite limiting.

Hey all!
Currently the Chargeback protection mentioned above is only available for the hosted Stripe.com Checkout:
The payment must be submitted to Stripe by your customer via Stripe Checkout.
Support for the Stripe.com hosted Checkout isn’t available via our Stripe payment gateway plugin. We have an open Issue to track this here – https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/issues/799
Thanks,

Hey there!
We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
Hi All
We were approved for chargeback protection through Stripe. Stripe requires that we use “Stripe Checkout” in order to qualify.
https://support.stripe.com/questions/payments-that-qualify-for-chargeback-protection
Every transaction that we get through this plugin returns this message in the Stripe Dashboard:
Payment succeeded
This payment doesn’t qualify for Chargeback Protection because it wasn’t made through Checkout.
How do we fix the plugin settings so that it uses Stripe Checkout? We can’t find anything about that in the plugin settings.
I received this message to the stripe support team.
If you want to utilize Chargeback Protection (CP), you would need to use the New Checkout (https://stripe.com/docs/payments/checkout).
Is There any other way around to solve this with WooCommerce and integrate Stripe Chargeback protection through WooCommerce?
I currently using WooCommerce Stripe Gateway/4.5.5 (https://woocommerce.com/products/stripe/) there is no chargeback protection on this plugin.
