    Hi all,

Thought this would be a simple job but I’m stuck and would greatly appreciate some help…

I need to set up some very basic flat rate shipping based on postal costs – small items cost 2.99 shipping, medium 4.99 and large 9.99. The shipping you pay is charged at the cost of the most expensive item, so if you’ve got 10 small and one large items, you just pay the 9.99 large item cost. No variations, tax or fancy calculations at at all.

I can’t work out how to get this to run though… I’ve set up three shipping classes so I can add each product to the appropriate class. Then gone into flat rate settings, (changed the Method Title from ‘Flat Rate’ to ‘Postage & Packing’ here) and set the cost for each shipping class. Now I just want the system to charge shipping based on the highest Shipping Class present in the order, but I can’t get it working. What should I be putting in the ‘Cost’ field so it just pulls the cost from the Shipping Class?

Any idea what I’m doing wrong? I’ve been through the documentation and trawled the forums but most of the info is now out of date.
