I cannot figure out how to get chapters to work, because I think I did something wrong when I completed the initial set up. I didn’t read the instructions properly and used Book as a category (because the fandom I use is based on different books within a visual novel game) and series to describe a specific series of fics and now there are 2000 fics and I don’t know how to set up chapters in a way that doesn’t involve de-categorizing all those fics. Is there anything I can do?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Please see the video on setting up books and chapters: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHn9JqThcXc

As for editing all 2000, once you have your taxonomies setup, go to the fanfic listings on the dashboard and use “quick edit” option for each page of listings. This is a WordPress edit feature. It will be far faster than editing each and every story.

I think your site is fantastic. Yes, it’s very unfortunate you didn’t catch the taxonomy error before adding 2000 stories, but it will be worth making the correction.

Please let me know how you make out. I’ll feature your site on wpwriteshare.com when you’re ready.

    Thank you.

One other point – I see you’re hosted on WordPress. Subscribe to their backup service, VaultPress, while you’re making all these edits so you have backups if you need them.
