# Changing “WordPress” as sender name

 * In the From field, I use an email address that belongs to the same domain as 
   the website. I have done this because I got the well know error message from 
   the Configuration Validator: “This email address does not belong to the same 
   domain as the site”
 * I also added “Reply-To: [your-email]” in the additional fields and everything
   is working fine again.
 * Only problem is that an email send from my contactform now has “WordPress” as
   the sender name. When I hit reply my mail-client fills in the correct mail address,
   that is not the problem. But I like to change the sender name from “WordPress”
   into the real name that the real sender filled in on the contactform.
 * So I changed the “From” setting like this:
 * first it was like this:
    [contactform@mydomain.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/changing-wordpress-as-sender-name/contactform@mydomain.com?output_format=md)
 * now I have changed it into this:
    [your-name] <contactform@mydomain.com>
 * After this change the sender name is the correct one, not “WordPress”anymore.
   So this seems to solve my problem but I am still a bit unsure if I have done 
   the right thing like this? Will this cause any other problems or is it just good
   to do it this way?
