I am using the twentyeleven theme for my site and I am trying to extend the width of the navigation menu to stretch across the width of my so-called “wrapper” (which I changed to 1000px wide). I noticed the issue after trying to change the padding. If the padding is too high of a number, the nav items start to go under each other (as if I changed the size of my browser).

I do not know where in my css to change it! I feel like I’ve tried everything. Can someone help me out? I would really appreciate it!

    Thanks!

Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues. First create a child theme for your changes.

I actually have created a child theme and I have tried changing it in there as well and it still isn’t working.

If you’re using a child theme. we’d need to see the site. So a link would come in pretty handy… 😉
