Support » Fixing WordPress » changing widget color and text

  • Is there a way I can make all my word press side bar widgets a default text/colour/back ground or do I have to style each one individually and if so how can I do this I want to make all the widget text same colour and default it to aligned centre.

  • The colour of the text in your widget depends on the theme you’re using. You need to modify your theme’s CSS. If you give me the URL of your site I’ll do my best to provide you with the exact code you need πŸ™‚

    Thank you I would really like some help can I PM you the link via this forum only because I have it in a test area and also I don’t want it to be linked to the internet as yet because its going to be move when commissioned the theme is a voyage http://wordpress.org/support/view/theme-reviews/voyage

    These forums are community based. There is no PM facility and all support happens here – in public – so that other WordPress users can benefit from it. If you would prefer to work 1-to-1 with someone, try hiring a developer to work with you.

    Can’t send PMs on this forum -since it’s community based πŸ™‚ However, try adding this to your css file:

    .widget-area a {color: #000 !important;}

    Excellent i am not to up on the code but not a total iliterate when you say widget area i take it that is within theme code i take it this will change the color only. (if you could take me the location to add this code)
    I would also like to center/change size the head text on the widget

    You can edit your style.css file through Appearance -> Editor. As to your other question, I am afraid I cannot provide you with exact code without the URL of your site.
