• Just installed WordPress and when I am in as the admin, I’m trying to change a new user from “subscriber” to another one of the roles, but it doesn’t change. It says it updated at the top after submitting change, but doesn’t save the changes.

    Not impressed so far…

    Any answers before an uninstall?

  • So you’ve checked the check box to the left of the User’s ID, checked the radio button to the left of the “Set the Role of checked users” text, you’ve selected the Role in the pulldown box that you want to assign that user, and then pressed the Update button?

Im having the same problem… is there a delay before the roles change? because, the last update that I did, the role of the user did change, but only after several minutes. Not instantaeneous.

    Please help.

I am using several blogs (wordpress 2.04) and when I create a author or editor I don’t see a post-tab under wp-admin when I am logged in under those proviles.

When I click on ‘Write a post’ from the Dashboard-tab I recieve this message:
‘You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.’

    Thanks in advance for help!
