# Changing url

 * I looked at the documentation about this but it doesn’t seem to work for what
   I’m trying. All I want to do is make it so my site responds to [http://www.siteurl.com](http://www.siteurl.com)
 * Right now I must go to [http://siteurl.com](http://siteurl.com) and if I change
   it in the Settings – General the site the site starts saying “The requested URL/
   was not found on this server.”
 * Is there something I’m missing here? I have another wordpress site which I somehow
   managed to change so that I can use [http://www.2ndsiteurl.com](http://www.2ndsiteurl.com)
   instead of just 2ndsiteurl.com. And in fact with that site if I type 2ndsiteurl.
   com it automatically changes it to [http://www.2ndsiteurl.com](http://www.2ndsiteurl.com)
