 * I am migrating multiple installs of WordPress to a single multisite install,
and realized that one of the blogs upload to the old location instead of the
   new master wp-content/uploads folder.
 * But the Media settings screen doesn’t have the upload folder settings.
 * How can I change the upload folder in multisite?

 * It’s in the site settings. Go into wp-admin/network and click on sites. Then
click on edit for the site you want to edit. You should be able to change it
   in there.

 * Indeed. Thanks! But that site setting screen is long and scary looking, and I
know some of the settings are available in the regular site admin GUI — so I
didn’t think to look there. Is there a reason why that setting is not available
in the media settings for each site? Perhaps put it back in the future version?

 * Because as the users of sub sites may NOT have access to make their new image
upload folder, it’s ‘better’ (easier?) to force them to use a predetermined location.
 * They SHOULD be all going to wp-content/blogs.dir/#/files though, where # is the
same as their site number. Keeps em organized and out of each others way. You
should never be using ONE folder for all your sites.

 * Only the main blog will use the /uploads folder. All the sub site will be rewritten.
 * If you’re using the import button, your files will be plunked in the new, appropriate
spot. You *can* change the links in the posts.
 * So that’s an alternative to changing the uploads folder for one site. (which
   I really need to test).
