• I have a blog that I have been using for almost 4 years and post weekly.
I want to change themes and make sure all posts get loaded and show up correctly. Can someone please suggest the most efficient way of doing this. Hopefully I don’t have to move the posts one at a time. Is there a plugin that would help out with this process?
    Thanks, Jeff

  • You can change the theme on your current site, and you won’t loose any posts. What you may loose is any current sidebar widgets or other theme-specific settings that are current now. That’s the difficult part, as each theme does their own sidebars a little differently in most cases, so it’s hard to move those. Settings are even harder because themes don’t share a common settings area.

If you’re not too concerned by that, and it’s not as big a deal as I’ve made it sound, your posts content will be fine.

Oh, and I forgot to mention…

Before you do anything, take a full backup of your sites files and database. That way if anything bad does happen you can revert back to where you are now.
