Changing Themes

    I have a blog that I have been using for almost 4 years and post weekly.
    I want to change themes and make sure all posts get loaded and show up correctly. Can someone please suggest the most efficient way of doing this. Hopefully I don’t have to move the posts one at a time. Is there a plugin that would help out with this process?

    You can change the theme on your current site, and you won’t loose any posts. What you may loose is any current sidebar widgets or other theme-specific settings that are current now. That’s the difficult part, as each theme does their own sidebars a little differently in most cases, so it’s hard to move those. Settings are even harder because themes don’t share a common settings area.

    If you’re not too concerned by that, and it’s not as big a deal as I’ve made it sound, your posts content will be fine.

    Oh, and I forgot to mention…

    Before you do anything, take a full backup of your sites files and database. That way if anything bad does happen you can revert back to where you are now.
