CHanging Themes

  • Two questions :

    1. I currently run Twenty Ten on all my websites with no changes to any .php. I do have custom headers. I am thinking about changing some of them to Twenty Eleven. Should I assume that this is very straight forward and a matter of just downloading the new theme in the admin appearance area?

    2. I have a new website that I am setting up and would like to use the portfolio style theme, I think it is called ‘Slider’. It is black background with image slider on the main page. Does anyone know if this theme is user friendly, fast loading, versatile etc?

    Thanks

  • 1. Yes, to change to the twenty eleven theme is just that simple.. Download it at your dashboard and you are on..

    2. Haven’t use that theme before so I can’t really provide you the feedback

@richardwpg Thanks for responding. Twenty Eleven is the new default. From reading in Codex, I saw that sometimes when you download a new theme , it displays differently. Does it greatly alter how posts are fitted on a page or presented?

I recalled the name of the other portfolio site I mentioned; it is Minimatica. Does anyone know if that one is easy to use, has good support and versatile etc?
