• Hi there.
I’ve being working on customizing the Autofocus theme,so I already made several changes on codes in order to make my site more interesting.
Now I want to change the theme ,and try how a new one works….

    My question is:
¿ Will all the changes done to the Autofocus be saved in case that I want to reactive it after trying new themes?

    Thanks
    F!

  • As long as you don’t remove/delete the theme, yes. Although there’s always an outside chance that another, possibly poorly written, theme could over-write some changes but we’re talking really high odds here.

    Hi esmi,
I’m brand new to wordpress and I have the same question and I don’t quite understand your answer.

I have spent a lot of time customizing a theme called Twordder (to help out a friend.) Now she wants me to make similar changes to the theme she is currently using (proSlate.) If I change my theme to proSlate to work out the desired changes, will all of the changes I made to Twordder be saved so that I can go back to it any time?

    Thanks for your help!

Yes, each theme has its own separate files, so you don’t have to worry about any changes being made to one theme affecting the other.
