# Changing Theme without Activating

 * I am currently using Sensitive theme and wish to change to Sukelis Magazine, 
   but would like to update and tweak the appearance prior to activating the theme
   and going “live.” Is there a way to update my website and not publish it until
   all changes and updates are complete?

 * You might try a plugin like [Theme Test Drive](https://wordpress.org/plugins/theme-test-drive/)
   for this. According to the plugin’s page, you can change theme options while 
   you’re testing the theme, and I’m guessing that they’ll transfer over to the 
   live site.
 * Some organizations also use a separate staging server to thoroughly test things
   out before migrating them to the live server.
