[Resolved] Changing the words “No Comments”

  • This might seem like a silly question but I’m relatively new to editing my own themes. I want to change the text “No Comments” at the bottom of my posts on the main page http://www.finktank3000.com/wordpress to “Discuss”.

    I feel “No Comments” suggests to people that they cannot comment. Is this really simple to do? Thanks in advance for your help.

  • It should be in your index.php template somewhere in the “postmetadata” section.

    Here is the code as in my WP 1.5 index. template (near the “feedback” division):

    <div class="feedback">
    <?php comments_popup_link(__('Comments (0)'), __('Comments (1)'), __('Comments (%)')); ?>

    I’d change it as follows:

    <div class="feedback">
    <?php comments_popup_link(__('Discuss [0]'), __('Discuss [1]'), __('Discuss [%]')); ?>

    HTH.

    Thanks Moshu! Much appreciated!!!

    Just as an aside – This interested me too, but I found the template I needed to change in my themes folder, under my currrent theme of course, the filename is “post.php”
    Thanks Moshu, for letting me know what to look for…
