# Changing The Time Format

 * I’m trying to update the time format on my wordpress site from military hours
   to regular 24 hour format.
 * For example my latest blog post shows up at 17:10PM instead of 5:10PM.
 * Can I update this in the General -> Settings area? If so, which setting am I 
   looking for?

 * You’ll need to edit the relevant template files in your them and change the parameters
   for [the_date](http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/the_date) and/or
   [the_time](http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/the_time).
