• Hi,

    Is it possible to change the language of a page/post/portfolio and get the categories/tags and other meta synchronized? Currently what happens when I change the language from A to B, Polylang gets the proper set of categories that is those translated to B, but it does not synchronize.

    For sake of clarity, let’s say I have the following set of categories:

    Books <-> Livres
    Movies <-> Films

    I post a portfolio in EN and I check Books as a category.

    When I change the language to FR, Polylang brings the correct set of translations, but Livres is unchecked, which means that I have to check again Livres. It does not synchronize tags either, and it does not bring the translated parent page even if it exists already. Multiply the number of categories by 20 and add tags and other metas and you get the idea.

    Theme: Oshine 3.1
    WP: 4.3.1
    Polylang: 1.7.10

    I need this because the pagebuilder used by Oshine does not work properly with Polylang, and changing the language for a post written in language A to language B would be a perfect workaround.

    Am I missing smth?

    Gabriel

    Hi!

    If I well understand, what you expect is what you obtain when you add a new translation (clicking on +). It’s true that this does not happen when changing the language. But I expect that users set the language before choosing categories, tags or the parent page.
