  • Obviously Purple Pro theme don’t use a header image …… but you can try add it in the theme header.php

    but you can try add it in the theme header.php

    I’d amend that to “but you can try add it in the theme header.php in a child theme.” It’s much safer that way.

    ..or you can get a “custom css” plugin and override the CSS
    in style.css
    /* Main Layout
    —————————————— */

    .header {
    position: relative;
    margin: 0 auto;
    padding: 0px 0;
    background: url(“images/header.jpg”);
    background-position:left top;
    (or simply upload (via FTP) an image of your choice as “header.jpg”

    .. but now i could use some help myself – i tried to get rid of some of the
    Februar 17, 2013, DEasfalt Das Neueste, , 0
    date, author, category, comments line IN THE CATEGORY page of the blog.

    I had no trouble to remove author in single.php for each single post, but, see for yourself, even after removing the author section in both, page.php and index.php it still shows, and it is not pretty, so, where exactly is this part produced for the blog CATEGORY page?
    P.S. love the simplicity and general readability of this Theme a lot.
    Would like to suggest to add a few features, especially the option to change a header image, add a favicon (that is really simple) and my biggest wish, widgets in the footer pa-lease….!

    I think maybe you need to remove the following coding from the single page (single).php

    <p class=”post-meta”><span class=”icon date”></span> <?php the_time( get_option( ‘date_format’ ) ) ?>, <span class=”icon author”></span> <?php the_author(); ?>, <span class=”icon cats”></span><?php the_category(“, “); ?>

    Thanks for trying to help Stacey, but i have had that file edited already, was missing the file that contains this very same segment for a BLOG CATEGORY.
    However, did help me find the file, category is in the archive.php, same lines under post-meta, so that is solved ….
    Yet, i did come across one tiny little something that is not done yet, it concerns the purple_pro.po file for translations (i need the site in german and in Spanish eventually)
    This file is very short as there isn’t much text from the Theme itself, yet, the text for the COMMENTS was never entered into the .po file.
    This text is in the comments.php file, and, if i would actually get around and learn how to create a child theme i could probably just hard code any text right into this file in the child theme and forget about it, but i kind of learned the PoEdit way of doing things, so i would like to add
    One thought on
    thoughts on
    to the .po file before starting the translation act.

    Any clue on how to do this (probably a tad complicated)??

    Rudme, why not post a new thread for support with your issue? You’re targeting one person here.

    Good news here, it’s all sorted out in direct and quick contact with ThemeMotive!
    Now the Purple Pro Theme should come with ES and DE translated languages files included already (i assume).

    I think everything here is all sorted so I’ll mark this thread as resolved 🙂
