Support » Theme: Clean Retina » Changing the blue hover color on links

  • Hello!

    Loving this theme and the ease of use! But I’m changing the background colors to pink and brown and need to change the blue color when you hover over the links in the main menu at the top as well as the blue line that appears over the three boxes in the corporate layout. Also want to change the blue color in the slider.

    Sorry, I know this is a lot. Is there a way to do this easily with the custom CSS in the Theme Options>Design Options area, or do I need to add a child theme?

    Any help is much appreciated!! Dana 🙂

  • hello,
    it is preferable to use a child theme.
    firebug you know?
    https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/firebug/

    I’m doing the same thing. If you go into custom CSS and paste this code

    #access ul li:hover > a {
    border-top: 5px solid #A3D7D1;
    color: #A3D7D1;
    padding-top: 16px;
    }

    and change the color to what you want. I put #A3D7D1, you will put whatever Hex color you want. I’m trying to find the code for the rest so hopefully one of the developers will post the code 🙂 I’m looking to change just the blue that is on the page in the nav bar.

    I hope this helps good luck

    If you could also tell us how to center the text that would be great. I’ve been messing around with the above question and how to center for over an hour. Thanks

    Hi LinaTee!

    Thanks so much! I will try this!!

    Dana 🙂

    add these to the top of the code #access ul li:hover > a {

    #access a:hover,
    #access ul li.current-menu-item a,
    #access ul li.current_page_ancestor a,
    #access ul li.current-menu-ancestor a,
    #access ul li.current_page_item a,

    I can’t believe I missed this lol

    Hi,
    Thanks LinaTee for your code – it works a treat for changing the hover colour on the menu. I was also hoping to change the blue colour on the slider’s title text (see: test.gowebgomobile.com)

    Could you help me out with this?

    Thanks again,
    Tess
