Changing the background color in Version 3.1

  • In the new version 3.1, I tried changing the background color to black with “background-color: black;”.

    Does not work though.

    Any idea where to change the background color?

    Thanks,
    Riggie

  • With version 3.1 I meant Semiologic 3.1

    it’s 3.0.1, not 3.1. but anyway… 😉

    for those who have the same problem, 3.0.2 will fix this, and in the meanwhile:

    in the header.php file, change:

    <body class="<?php the_page_skin(); ?>">

    To:

    <body class="<?php the_page_skin(); ?> custom">

    And now, you can now create a custom.css file, using lines that look like those lines in the other css files, e.g.

    body.custom
    {
    background-color: yourcolor;
    }
