    Hello Everyone.

I’m hoping someone will have the answer for me. I have a website which was coverted to wordpress earlier this year. In the header there is text I would like to change, but can’t find where to change it. I contacted the person who did my website and she said it is in the Photoshop header and sent attachemts. That’s great. However, it still doesn’t answer the question — How do I change the text in the header?

With my previous website (through a different host), it was easy to change the text. I believe there is a location for this, I just don’t know where to look. 🙁 I’ve checked everywhere I can think of and know I am missing something.

Any ideas? Also, do I need photoshop to change it?

    Thanks much.

It would help if you were more specific on what text you would like to change like posting the URL to your new website or a link to the image of the problem. If the person who made the website sent you the PS header to change text, then open it up in Photoshop and change text there, save then FTP upload back online.
If that’s beyond your area of expertise, then I suggest you contact that person again and ask him/her to redo the header and upload it for you with the caveat that you will most possibly be charged for that extra work based on the original response of that person when he/she only sent you the PS files.

OK, I managed to change the text in the header. Now, can someone tell me where to find the header upload location in the cpanel. It must be right in front of me, but darned if I could find it. I think it is located in the branding style editor, but I am not sure.

    Again, thanks for your help.

Chances are it’s something like wp-header.php, but it sounds like you’re still doing things the hard way.

If you log into wordpress (at or wp-admin.php), then click on the “design” tab, then the “theme editor” subtab, all of the html and stylesheets should be separated in a nice easy-to-modify format.

I am following your instrutions to the letter. I have the theme premium_orange. I also want to change the text in the header. So I need the html file to be able to do so. Just one problem it ain’t there all the php files style sheets but no html. Have gone to admin “design” “theme editor”.
I have even looked at the files on my server still can’t find them. They must be somewhere but where?

kernowman I eventually found what I was looking for in about.php the last place I would have thought to look But all resolved now’
