Changing subcribed confirmation text on widget

    Hi,

    we installed the mailchimp widget. When email subscribers submit their email, there is a confirmation message displaying right away in French:

    “Félicitations, vous vous êtes abonné ! Veuillez regarder le mail de confirmation qui vous a été envoyé !”

    We’d like to change this message. Please let us know how.

    Thanks for getting in touch! The language of the messages populated by the plugin generally correspond to the language set within WordPress for the site itself. If the goal is to change the message itself rather than to change the language being used, we actually provide instructions on the plugin’s FAQ page here: http://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp/faq/

    Using a PO language file editor as mentioned there to edit the appropriate language’s file within your plugin download should do the trick for you, though you’ll want to save your changed version for later upgrades if you’re editing an existing language in place. That way you can re-copy the same edited version into place after a plugin upgrade.
